DIY Women's Health Tea
If I could make one simple tea for women to drink not matter what age or cycle they are in, this would be it. I feel wierd not including spearmint because its in my top 5 favorite herbs to use in teas, but its more specific (great for pcos and high androgen symptoms) vs general use for everyone. I went with 4 ingredients so its easy for everyone to make.
Here are the increments for 1 cup of tea, as you see i made mine very strong
Women's Daily Health Tea For one cup, 16oz tea
1 teaspoon red rasberry leaf
1 teaspoon lemonbalm
1 teaspoon rose hips
1 teaspoon nettle
This can be made like a traditional steeping or a cold infusion.
Steep: 190-205 F is the temp right off of boiling, this is the standard temperature for steeping leaves and flowers. Let steep for 15 minutes minimum or for up to several hours for maximum mineral extraction
Cold infusion: you can use these same herbs a make a nutrient rich infusion by adding room temperature water to herbs and letting infuse with a lid over night or for 8-12 hours.
I love making this as a hot or cold tea, either way is delicious. You can also use roses instead of rose hips if you'd like
Enjoy!
As someone who loves incorporating herbal teas into my daily routine, I can personally attest to the benefits of this simple but effective women's health tea recipe. The combination of red raspberry leaf, lemon balm, rose hips, and nettle provides a balanced mix of flavors and nutrients that support hormonal balance, immune health, and overall wellness. Red raspberry leaf is known for its ability to tone and support uterine health, which is why it’s a staple in many women’s herbal blends. Lemon balm adds a calming effect, helping to reduce stress and anxiety, while rose hips are packed with vitamin C and antioxidants, boosting immune function. Nettle is a powerhouse for mineral absorption, rich in iron and other important nutrients. I like making this tea both as a hot steep or a cold infusion depending on the season. The recommended steeping temperature of 190-205°F preserves the delicate qualities of the leaves and flowers, while steeping for at least 15 minutes ensures good extraction of their beneficial compounds. For a refreshing alternative, cold infusing overnight brings out subtle flavors and retains maximum nutrients. One tip from my experience is to prepare a larger batch and store it in the fridge for easy access throughout the day. You can also customize the recipe by substituting rose hips with dried rose petals for a slightly different floral note. Always use organic herbs when possible to maximize purity and therapeutic benefits. This recipe is wonderfully straightforward, using only four ingredients, making it accessible for women at any stage of life who want to support their health naturally. Whether you’re new to herbal teas or a seasoned herbalist, this blend is a great everyday tonic to add to your wellness toolkit.

What about a sun tea?
