January 🫢 reading recap

Umm ik it’s so late but I’m mostly doing this for me bc this app is basically my scrap book🙈

So here are my January reads!

I finished Lovelight Farms, which I really enjoyed! I recently found the 2nd book at books a million on sale, so I’m excited for that!

ACOSF - finally finished ACOTAR! I want to read TOG this year but idk if I’m ready to commit 😭

Divine Rivals - this book was precious. Need to read the next one soon💙

... Read moreIt's always so much fun to look back at the books I've read and share my thoughts, especially when I can help others find their next great read! Like many of you, I love getting new recommendations and diving into different genres. My 'January reading wrap up' really showed me how diverse my taste can be, and I hope it sparks some inspiration for your own reading journey, whether you're aiming for 'one book a month' or just looking for that 'life changing fiction' read. For those of you who adore a good 'cozy romance book' or 'friends to lovers book,' I can't recommend Lovelight Farms enough. It was such a 'delightful, heartwarming read' and truly embodied that sweet, slow-burn connection that just makes you sigh with happiness. If you're constantly searching for 'what to read next fiction' in this genre, think about stories where the characters have a history, or where the setting itself feels like a warm hug. Books that feature small towns, holiday themes, or a strong sense of community often hit that perfect cozy spot, making them ideal 'book group suggestions' for a lighthearted discussion. Then there's the world of fantasy, which often gets a huge boost from 'BookTok recommendations.' Finishing A Court of Silver Flames was a journey! 'Nesta's story' really captivated me, with its themes of healing and empowerment within a rich, magical realm. If you're like me and enjoy deep dives into intricate 'fantasy' worlds, especially those with strong female leads or a bit of a 'slowburn romance' subplot, chances are you'll find plenty to love in popular YA fantasy series. Many 'ya BookTok books' offer fantastic escapism and build passionate communities around their characters and plots. Don't be afraid to explore series that blend action, magic, and heartfelt emotional arcs. And speaking of heartfelt, Divine Rivals was a special read—it felt both 'sweet and heavy' in the best way. This kind of book is perfect for 'latest book club recommendations' because it offers so much to discuss: themes of war, love, destiny, and the power of words. When choosing 'recent book club picks,' I always look for books that have compelling characters and open-ended questions that can lead to lively conversations. Sometimes, stepping slightly outside your comfort zone can lead to discovering truly impactful stories. Finding your next favorite often comes down to understanding what you loved about your last one. If you're asking 'what to read after Rebecca Yarros' or 'books like People We Meet on Vacation,' think about the specific elements that drew you in. Was it the emotional depth, the military romance, the witty banter, or the travel setting? Use those keywords when searching online, or ask fellow readers in communities. Sometimes, even exploring books by the same publisher or editor can lead to similar vibes. Reading is such a personal adventure, and I hope my January recap helps you on your way to finding your next unforgettable story!
