I’m nervous to share this, but it’s my story and my truth. I’m not here to attack anyone. I’m just speaking about what I experienced growing up. And if someone watching this is living through something similar… I know how lonely that feels. I know you might think you have no one, but you deserve help, you deserve love, and you deserve to be safe. Please tell someone you trust. You’re not alone. 🥹 #storytime #childhoodtrauma #youarenotalone #fyp #mytruth
Growing up with childhood trauma, I've learned firsthand how complicated and painful the experience can be. Despite numerous interventions by Child Protective Services (CPS), I often felt that the core issues remained unaddressed. This left me feeling vulnerable and unheard, even when support was supposedly available. If you are currently going through something similar, please know that it's okay to feel scared or isolated. The system is not perfect, and sometimes the help offered may seem insufficient, but that does not mean help isn’t out there. Reaching out to trusted friends, family members, or professional counselors can make a meaningful difference. From my journey, I've realized the importance of building a safe support network and self-compassion. Therapy, peer support groups, or simply talking about your experience can begin to heal the wounds childhood trauma inflicts. Remember, trauma can affect emotional, mental, and even physical health, so looking after yourself holistically is vital. Also, raising awareness about the limitations and challenges within CPS and child welfare services can help improve the system for future generations. Sharing stories like mine empowers others to speak up and demand the changes needed to truly protect and support vulnerable children. If you feel like you have no one, please know that you do deserve love, safety, and healing. Take small steps each day toward getting the help you need. You are not alone, and your story matters.
