Learning backbend drop 🙌🏼 so hard for me! #elinamyo #elinapractice #backbendchallenge #WorkoutMotivation #fitnessjourney
Learning a deep backbend drop is truly challenging but incredibly rewarding once you start to see progress. Like many, I felt scared initially and relied heavily on the wall for support. Revisiting the warm-ups from my instructor, Qing's class, was crucial in preparing my body and calming my mind before attempting the drop again. One key tip is to stay patient and kind to yourself—progress can be slow, and fear is natural when trying complex moves involving flexibility and strength. Visualizing your movement and focusing on controlled breathing famously helped me overcome hesitation. Additionally, consistency in practice is essential; I found that returning to the gym regularly to repeat warm-ups and drills built the confidence and muscle memory needed to attempt the backbend drop successfully. Remember, it's okay to adjust the difficulty by using support initially, but gradually try to let go and trust your body’s capabilities. Celebrate each small victory, whether it’s holding the position longer or feeling stable without the wall. This journey has taught me that embracing the flow of progress—moments of doubt mixed with breakthroughs—makes the deep backbend not only a physical challenge but a mental growth opportunity as well.
