$1.25?! Ooo the girls are gonna love this!

Giirllllll, yes! Imagine my shock when I’m browsing through the hair section of Dollar Tree for one thing and find 3 others! I was dangerously low on conditioner which I typically get at Walmart and when I saw this and its price. I had to forget about Walmart!

🛍Brand: Twisted by Ouidad

💰Price:$1.25 each. Total: $3.75 🥹

👍Pros:

-Unique Aesthetic Packaging’s

-Priced super affordable!

-Primed & Co was the most hydrating product

- Gimme It All had my hair free of product buildup.

-Great washday for a protective style

🤔Cons:

- The applicator for both the 4 & 2 in 1 products were stiff and did not produce as much product. I strained using it. So i ended up taking the tops off and just manually removing the product from the bottle.

- When having natural hair products connivence is priority. Wash day can take a lot of time so, our products should be easy to use and applied. So there for Gimmie It All & Primed & Co lost a lot of points for that alone.

- I would have just liked a simple clarifying shampoo. I get the convenience of 4 in one but if the hydration takes a hit due to it. It wouldn’t be as useful. Also, Primed and Co should have been in a bigger bottle like Gimme it All with a proper pump since it really was the best hydrating product.

-The hair Mask should have been as hydrating as the Primed & Co since it is a hair mask but sadly, it wasn’t.

⭐️Buy or Bye Overall rating: /5: 3.5 Stars

When you’re in a pinch and need it gooo for it. I’ll definitely finish the product up and buy again especially for the price. It’s truly a game changer for the value and my hair is healthy.

... Read moreFinding effective curly hair products that don't break the bank can feel like a mission impossible, especially when you're dealing with specific hair types that require extra care and attention. My recent Dollar Tree adventure, where I snagged the Twisted by Ouidad line for just $1.25 each, really got me thinking about budget haircare. It's a game-changer when you can find gems like the Gimme It All conditioner or Primed & Co primer for so little! This discovery has completely shifted my perspective on where to find quality products without sacrificing my wallet. For a truly successful Wash Day, beyond just finding great products, it's about how you approach your routine and what you look for. When browsing budget aisles at places like Dollar Tree, my top tip is always to check the ingredient lists. Look for moisturizing components like shea butter, argan oil, coconut oil, or glycerin. These are often indicators of good hydration, which is crucial for most curly hair types. Conversely, try to avoid harsh sulfates if your hair type is prone to dryness or frizz. And yes, sometimes you stumble upon a brand you know and trust, like Twisted by Ouidad, which makes the hunt even more exciting and rewarding! Let's talk about specific product types that are essential for most curly hair routines. A good conditioner, like the Gimme It All I tried, is absolutely crucial for detangling, providing slip, and infusing your strands with much-needed hydration. For those with really thirsty curls or specific hair types that tend to be drier, a rich Hair Mask is non-negotiable. While the Sunday Feels mask was decent for its price point, I've learned to look for masks that truly penetrate and provide deep, long-lasting conditioning. If you're like me and sometimes wish for a simple clarifying shampoo to remove product buildup without stripping your hair, remember that even budget brands offer effective options. It’s all about pairing the right products for your unique hair type and its specific needs. My ultimate Wash Day tip when incorporating affordable finds? Don't skimp on application time. Really work that conditioner through your strands, section by section, especially if the applicator isn't ideal (like with some of the Twisted by Ouidad products I mentioned!). For a Hair Mask, leave it on longer than you think – sometimes even 20-30 minutes – perhaps with a shower cap for added heat to help the ingredients penetrate deeper. Remember, consistency is key. Even $1.25 products can transform your hair if used correctly and consistently. It’s all about experimenting to see what works best for your specific hair type and routine. Happy curl journey, my friends, and happy hunting for those budget-friendly holy grails!
