you can’t build a life that feels like you while abandoning yourself to be liked.
you end up creating multiple realities…without yourself in any of them. 🌷🕊️
From personal experience, I've found that trying to be liked by everyone only causes internal conflict and a feeling of emptiness. The phrase "you can't lead yourself and be a people pleaser" truly resonates; when you constantly prioritize others' approval, you lose connection with your own needs and values. It’s important to recognize that building a life aligned with your authentic self requires saying no to external pressures and expectations. When you abandon yourself to fit in or be accepted, you end up living multiple personas—each designed to please different groups—yet none represent your true essence. To overcome this, I started practicing mindfulness and journaling daily about my feelings and desires. This helped me identify where I was conforming unnecessarily and how it was impacting my mental health. Aligning with oneself over hustle or chasing approval frees up emotional energy to cultivate deeper self-awareness and growth. Embracing self-growth mindset means you accept that it’s okay not to please everyone. Your worth does not depend on external validation but on living in harmony with your values. Art, meditation, or any soul-nourishing activity can support this alignment journey. In summary, authentic leadership starts with leading yourself. Avoid the trap of people-pleasing; instead, focus on authentic self-expression to create a meaningful life that reflects who you truly are.
