... Read moreHey everyone! As the air starts to get a little crisper, I just love diving into all the amazing produce September has to offer. There’s something so satisfying about eating fruits and veggies that are at their peak freshness, not only do they taste incredible, but they’re also packed with nutrients. This month, my kitchen is always buzzing with the vibrant colors of autumn's bounty. Let's talk about some of my absolute favorites that you have to try. First up, apples! They're crisp, sweet, and perfect for juicing. I love mixing them with a little ginger and carrot for a zingy morning boost. Peaches and pears are still hanging around, offering that juicy sweetness – fantastic on their own or blended into a smoothie. Don't overlook blackberries and raspberries; these small but mighty berries are bursting with antioxidants. I often throw a handful into my apple-based juices for an extra layer of flavor and health benefits. And for something a bit more unique, keep an eye out for plums and grapes. Plums add a beautiful tartness and color to juices, while grapes are surprisingly refreshing when juiced. Have you ever tried juicing cantaloupe? It’s incredibly hydrating and makes for a sweet, mellow juice that's perfect on its own or mixed with some cucumber. Speaking of cucumbers, they are a staple in my juicing routine year-round, but they're especially good this time of year for balancing out sweeter fruits. And don't forget your veggies! Carrots are always a winner – sweet, earthy, and amazing for eye health. You'll often find them labeled as 'BEST PRODUCE TO BUY THIS MONTH' in markets, and for good reason! I’m also excited about pomegranates starting to come into season later in September. Their jewel-like seeds are a little effort to get out, but the juice is incredibly vibrant and full of antioxidants. If you're looking for 'JUICING TUTORIALS' on how to handle these, there are tons of great tips online! When you're at the market, look for produce that feels firm, has vibrant colors, and smells fresh. Don't be afraid to ask your local farmers about their harvest. Buying seasonal not only supports local agriculture but also ensures you're getting the most flavorful and nutrient-dense options available. Incorporating these seasonal gems into your diet, whether through juicing, salads, or cooking, is a fantastic way to boost your wellness. What are you most excited to try this September? Let me know!
