Crispy chicken tender recipe 🍗

Ingredients

* Chicken tenders

* Flour

* Eggs

* Buttermilk

* Seasonings

First , I cleaned my chicken tenders with water , vinegar and lemon

Next you want to pat your tenders dry and cover them in yellow mustard and season with salt, pepper, lemon pepper, paprika, creole and Cayenne pepper or your seasoning of choice.

Next you want to add 1 beaten egg along with 1 cup of butter milk and mix everything together and let this marinade for 30 mins - 2 hours

Now I put my seasoned all purpose flour into a large zips lock bag and placed my tenders in one by one and shook them around until fully coated.

Next you want to turn your oil on medium and fry for 8-10 mins depending on the thickness of your tenders . Then crank up heat and fry for an additional 2 mins .

Cool and enjoy with your favorite dipping sauce! 😋

... Read moreHey fellow food lovers! You've seen my go-to recipe for those mouth-watering, ultra-crispy fried chicken tenders, but I've got even more insights to share so you can truly master this dish and make it the best fried chicken you've ever had right in your own kitchen! One of the biggest questions I get is, 'how to make crispy chicken that stays crispy?' It all starts with the right technique, and honestly, it’s easier than you think. After you've got your raw chicken tenders prepped and wonderfully marinated in that buttermilk blend (which is key for juiciness!), the breading is your next big step. I use seasoned flour, but to take it up a notch, consider a double-dredging method. After coating in flour, dip it back into a little buttermilk, then back into the flour. This creates extra nooks and crannies for ultimate crunch. Make sure each chicken tender is fully encased in that seasoned flour before it even thinks about hitting the oil! Now, let's talk about the magic of frying. Getting that perfect golden-brown exterior and maintaining it is crucial. The initial fry at medium heat for 8-10 minutes is to cook the chicken through. The real secret to that extra crispiness, which many commercial places like KFC use, is that final crank of the heat for an additional 2 minutes. This high heat blast seals the deal, expelling any remaining surface moisture and giving you that truly crispy fried chicken tender experience. Using proper hot oil temperature (around 350-375°F or 175-190°C) is vital – too low and your chicken gets greasy, too high and it burns before cooking. And what about seasoning for fried chicken? While my recipe has a great blend, don't be afraid to experiment! For a kick, add a touch more cayenne or a dash of smoked paprika for depth. Many people love a Louisiana chicken tenders style, which often includes garlic powder, onion powder, and a bit more black pepper. The beauty of homemade is you can tailor it exactly to your taste! Finally, let's talk about sauces for chicken! While my recipe is delicious on its own, a great dipping sauce elevates the experience. My personal favorites to pair with these crispy chicken strips include a tangy honey mustard, a spicy sriracha mayo, or even a classic ranch. For something homemade and quick, mix a tablespoon of hot sauce into some creamy plain yogurt or sour cream for a refreshing dip! And how to keep fried chicken crispy after all that hard work? Once cooled, store them in an airtight container with a paper towel at the bottom (to absorb moisture). To reheat, avoid the microwave! Pop them in an oven or, even better, an air fryer at around 375°F (190°C) for 5-7 minutes. This brings back that amazing crispiness without drying them out. While my recipe focuses on frying, an air fryer is a fantastic tool for reheating to maintain that crunch. Making homemade golden crispy chicken tenders is so rewarding, and honestly, once you try this method, you might just find it tastes better than any takeout version. Happy cooking!
