Restarting my fitness journey!

Since my cancer has been in remission and the baby is older time to give back to my body 💖

1/8 Edited to

... Read moreRestarting a fitness journey after significant life events like cancer remission and motherhood is both empowering and challenging. I’ve found that the key is to listen closely to my body and set realistic goals that honor my current health and energy levels. For example, incorporating gentle exercises like walking or yoga helped me rebuild stamina without feeling overwhelmed. Balancing fitness with caring for a growing baby requires creativity and flexibility. I started by dedicating short, consistent time slots to exercise, which made it manageable alongside my daily responsibilities. Prioritizing self-care allowed me to gradually regain strength and confidence. Another crucial aspect has been tracking progress—not just in physical terms but also in how I feel mentally and emotionally. Celebrating small victories, such as improved mood or better sleep, keeps motivation high. Nutrition plays a vital role too. Feeding my body wholesome, nourishing foods supports recovery and fuels exercise efforts. Employing wearable fitness technology, like step counters or heart rate monitors, has helped me remain accountable and make informed adjustments. Staying connected with support groups or online communities also provides encouragement and shared experiences. Remember, every journey is unique, and embracing patience and self-compassion is just as important as physical activity. Your body has been through a lot, and giving back through fitness is a beautiful way to honor your resilience and growth.

How I Made Fitness a Daily Habit in My 30s
Making fitness stick in your 30s doesn’t mean doing intense workouts every day. It’s started simple for me jumping rope everyday for 30 days for about 20 minutes or going on my weighted vest walks. It’s all about showing up. Started moving daily. That’s how it became a habit. #FitnessInY
