NOT DIASTASIS RECTI FRIENDLY

Full disclosure, I'm cannot guarantee these are all diastasis recti friendly so if you are working on that in particular, I would skip this one.

I opted out of diastasis recti focused workout today simply because I wanted to do different ab workouts.

I am trying to find the workout that makes me extra sore for the next few days and idk if my body is just used to the workouts I was doing or they are just not intense enough but I just don't feel that soreness that makes me like yeaaaa that was the one 😅 🙃

I will see how these go and build from there.

For this workout, I did use a 10 pound dumbbell which isn't completely necessary especially for beginners.

I did 3 sets of 30-45 seconds for everything.

Lastly, I know you can't really see the shirt but it is from Prozis and the material is EVERYTHING!! It's definitely one you can run in bra less as it keeps the girls nice and snug. I hate bras so any bra less opportunity I just have to share😆 🤣 plus it's just really cute. I'll do a better view next time !

Happy Hump Day !

... Read moreDiastasis recti is a condition where the abdominal muscles separate during pregnancy or due to excessive abdominal pressure. It requires careful and specialized exercises focusing on core strengthening without worsening the separation. While the workout shared here aims for high intensity and muscle soreness with 3 sets of 30-45 seconds using optional 10-pound dumbbells, it specifically excludes diastasis recti safe modifications. This aligns with the author’s disclosure that the workout is not suitable for those working on diastasis recti recovery. For individuals with diastasis recti, it is crucial to follow rehabilitation exercises that promote gentle and safe activation of the transverse abdominis and pelvic floor muscles. Recommended exercises often include pelvic tilts, heel slides, modified planks, and controlled breathing techniques that reduce intra-abdominal pressure. Avoiding crunches or intense twisting motions during early recovery is advised to prevent further muscle separation. In addition to exercise caution, wearing supportive gear such as high-compression abdominal binders can aid in healing and provide comfort during workouts. The author also highlights a favorite workout top from Prozis, praising its breathable material and supportive fit suitable for running bra-free. Choosing comfortable workout apparel complements physical activity by enhancing mobility and confidence. Overall, for anyone seeking core workouts, especially postpartum women or those with abdominal muscle concerns, consulting a physical therapist specialized in pelvic floor and core rehabilitation is essential. Customized plans ensure safe progress toward achieving strength and muscle tone without risking injury or setback. This article serves as a motivating resource for general ab training but advises skipping these exercises if you have diastasis recti or are unsure about exercise suitability.
