For those aiming to increase their strength, starting with a comfortable weight and gradually progressing, as I did — through incremental jumps such as 115, 130, 145, and finally up to 175lbs — is key. Proper nutrition also plays a crucial role in leg day performance and recovery. Consuming a balanced diet rich in protein, carbs, and healthy fats fuels your muscles and helps repair tissue afterward. Don’t forget hydration and post-workout meals, which ensure your body replenishes essential nutrients. Integrating leg presses into your workout alongside squats and lunges can provide varied stimuli to your leg muscles, fostering better overall growth and strength. And remember, consistency and patience are vital — even challenging lifts become more manageable with time and practice.
