Grilled chicken wrap
Hey everyone! If you’re anything like me, you’re always on the hunt for delicious meals that fit into a healthy lifestyle without feeling like a chore. That’s why I absolutely love grilled chicken wraps. They’re quick, versatile, and incredibly satisfying, whether you’re aiming for #lowcarb, a #caloriedeficit, or just generally trying to eat #healthy. I’ve perfected my go-to healthy grilled chicken wrap recipe, and I can't wait to share it with you! Here’s what you’ll need for one amazing, healthy grilled chicken wrap: 1 medium chicken breast (about 4-5 oz), thinly sliced or pounded for even cooking 1 whole wheat tortilla (8-inch is a good size) 1/2 cup mixed greens (spinach, lettuce, kale) 1/4 cup chopped cucumber 1/4 cup diced tomatoes 2 tbsp light Greek yogurt ranch or tzatziki dressing Salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika to taste Instructions: Season your chicken breast generously with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. You can also add a pinch of chili flakes for a little kick! Heat a grill pan or non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the chicken for 3-4 minutes per side, or until fully cooked through and slightly charred. Once cooked, let the chicken rest for a few minutes, then slice or dice it into bite-sized pieces. Warm your whole wheat tortilla slightly in a dry pan or microwave for 10-15 seconds to make it more pliable. Lay out your tortilla. First, spread the Greek yogurt dressing evenly across the center. Then, layer your mixed greens, cucumber, and tomatoes. Add the grilled chicken pieces over the veggies. Carefully fold in the sides of the tortilla, then roll it up tightly from the bottom to create your delicious wrap. Enjoy immediately! One of the biggest questions I get is, 'how many calories does a grilled chicken wrap have?' The truth is, it really depends on your ingredients! My version is designed to be calorie-friendly and support #weightlossandfatloss. With a standard 8-inch whole wheat tortilla (around 120-150 calories), 4 oz of grilled chicken breast (180-200 calories), plenty of non-starchy veggies (negligible calories), and 2 tablespoons of a light Greek yogurt dressing (30-50 calories), you're looking at a filling meal for roughly 330-400 calories. So much better than many fast-food options! Pro Tip for Lower Calories: Opt for smaller, low-carb tortillas if you want to cut down even further. Using a large lettuce leaf or a collard green as a wrap instead of a tortilla can bring the calorie count even lower! Also, be mindful of your dressing – homemade Greek yogurt dressings are usually a much better choice than creamy, store-bought alternatives, which can add hundreds of hidden calories. The beauty of a grilled chicken wrap is how easily you can customize it! Here are some of my favorite grilled chicken wrap ideas to keep things exciting: Veggies: Don't be afraid to experiment! Sautéed bell peppers and onions, shredded carrots, thinly sliced red cabbage, or even some roasted zucchini can add amazing flavor, texture, and nutrients. Protein Boost: While grilled chicken is my staple, sometimes I'll add a hard-boiled egg or some chickpeas for extra fiber and protein, especially if I'm feeling extra hungry. Sauce Swaps: Beyond a simple Greek yogurt dressing, try a homemade avocado mash, a light salsa, or a squeeze of fresh lime juice with a dash of chili powder for a different kick. A tiny bit of sriracha can also add a ton of flavor without many calories. Spice It Up: Marinate your chicken in different spices – think fajita seasoning for a Mexican twist, or a little ginger and soy for an Asian-inspired wrap. Lemon herb chicken is also fantastic! Making it a Meal Prep Star: Grill a batch of chicken at the beginning of the week, chop all your non-starchy veggies, and portion out your dressing. Then, each day, it's just a matter of assembling your wrap in minutes! This makes sticking to your #healthymukbang goals so much easier and prevents decision fatigue. Eating healthy doesn't have to be boring or complicated. This healthy grilled chicken wrap recipe is proof! Give it a try and let me know your favorite variations in the comments. Happy wrapping!
