MY HALF MARATHON RUNNING ROUTINE 👟✨

I’m currently training for my first half marathon and this is my routine with five runs per week!

Monday/Thursday- “Easy” runs are essential for building endurance! My easy runs are timed rather than distance based and are ran at a conversational pace.

Tuesday/Friday- These days are a mix between interval, tempo, and fartlek runs! Speed work is great to help you run at a faster pace!

Sunday- These are the longest runs of the week! Building up mileage is important to condition your body and mind!

Wednesday/Saturday- Your muscles can’t perform at their best without proper rest and recovery! Don’t forget to incorporate rest days into your routine!

I use the Nike Run Club app for the majority of my running. It’s free and super helpful!

What made you decide to run 5 days a week, versus 3 or 4 days? My plan is 3 days a week and I feel like I want to do more!
