Untraditional Wedding Things We Did 💍
Untraditional weddings are happening SO much more now and when we got engaged we knew we’d be one of them. Initially our plan was to elope in the mountains but changed our minds 3 months out to having a micro-wedding on my family’s property.
I got myself ready. We both did but I feel like doing my makeup on the floor of my mom’s bedroom counts as untraditional 🤣
We didn’t have a florist, my husband picked out and made my bouquet- also on my mom’s bedroom floor.
We didn’t have many getting ready photos because we wanted to take Polaroids of each other instead 📸
My mom got a new deck for the occasion… just felt that needed to be said hahaha
We did a private ceremony so our friends and family only could see us. Our sweet officiant read a letter we wrote to her while we read each other our vows and we all just sobbed in a much less awkward way.
Craft paper on all the tables was a big hit and we did a diy dessert bar. I asked everyone for their favorite desserts on the RSVP and dessert was naked cake slices with everyone’s favorite toppings ready to add on top!
After the ceremony we snuck away for pictures. We probably should have found a beautiful flower patch or something… we had a photo shoot at the gas station we always stop at before driving home 🍭
The most untraditional way to end a wedding… story time from my mom while we all wore comfy clothes. She did a great job tbh, 10/10 would recommend story time.
What do you think about untraditional weddings? Would you have one? Did you?? #letschat

We went super minimalistic with our wedding, no wedding party, my mom and grandma were my “flower girls”. 30 people were there, we told everyone we eloped even just so it would be our closest friends and family with no stress. And it was perfect.🥰
