I use Glp1 and so what!?

“Some of y’all talk about GLP-1 users like they committed federal crimes instead of… treating a medical condition with FDA-approved medication 😂

Obesity is literally recognized as a chronic disease. Insulin resistance is real. Metabolic dysfunction is real. PCOS is real. Type 2 diabetes is real. Cardiovascular risks linked to obesity are real. But suddenly when people use a medication designed to HELP those things, everybody turns into a Nobel Prize winner in endocrinology overnight.

The same people screaming ‘just eat less and move more’ somehow ignore that GLP-1 medications work by regulating appetite signaling, slowing gastric emptying, improving insulin response, and helping correct biological mechanisms that many people struggle with for YEARS. Biology doesn’t care about your motivational speech, Brenda.

And let’s stop pretending society treated overweight people with kindness before these meds existed. People got mocked when they gained weight, mocked when they tried dieting, mocked at the gym, mocked for surgery, and now mocked for medication. So clearly this was never about “health.” Some of y’all are just emotionally attached to watching people struggle.

Also funny how nobody cries about cholesterol meds, blood pressure meds, antidepressants, fertility treatment, or ADHD medication helping people function better. But let fat people get medical help and suddenly everybody becomes a purity coach talking about ‘the easy way out.’

Easy? You mean the medication that can cause nausea, vomiting, fatigue, constipation, muscle loss if protein isn’t maintained, and requires long-term lifestyle changes to maintain results? THAT easy? 😂

Be honest: some of y’all are not mad about the medication. You’re mad because people you judged are becoming healthier, happier, more confident, and no longer apologizing for existing.

Science upset you. Cope harder

I SAID WHAT I SAID 🤷🏽‍♀️ come at me and you will know a side of me you didnt knew I had !!

... Read moreAs someone who has followed discussions around GLP-1 medications closely, I can share how these treatments have been groundbreaking in managing chronic conditions such as obesity, type 2 diabetes, and metabolic dysfunction. Unlike the oversimplified advice of "just eat less and move more," GLP-1 receptor agonists address the complex biology behind appetite regulation and insulin response, offering a lifeline to many who have struggled for years. In my personal experience and conversations with others using GLP-1 medications, the journey is far from easy. Side effects like nausea, fatigue, and constipation are common initial hurdles. Maintaining muscle mass requires conscious dietary efforts, particularly adequate protein intake. Yet, the support these meds provide goes beyond symptom control—they empower users to regain confidence and improve overall quality of life. Importantly, society’s perception often lags behind medical advances. People who take medications for high cholesterol, blood pressure, or mental health rarely face harsh judgment. However, when it comes to obesity treatments, stigma persists, shifting focus away from health to unfounded moral judgments. This article’s strong stance resonates with many who have felt unfairly criticized for using FDA-approved medications designed to correct biological imbalances. For anyone considering GLP-1 therapy, understanding that it's a medical treatment for a recognized chronic disease is crucial. It requires commitment to lifestyle changes and patience with the process. Science continues to evolve, and embracing evidence-based treatments over shame or misinformation can help foster a more compassionate and informed dialogue around obesity and metabolic health. Ultimately, the discussion around GLP-1 medications illuminates the need for broader awareness and empathy. People deserve access to effective treatments without stigma, allowing them to pursue healthier, happier lives on their own terms.

Yesssss because they don’t even know if the person is on it for a medical condition or not. If you don’t like that someone is using it you can always scroll past their page 🫡
