College feels inefficient

I graduated with a solid GPA, but honestly? College feels insanely inefficient at actually teaching.

General Ed: I could’ve finished my major in like 2.5 years if I didn’t have to take random classes that had nothing to do with my field. Why was I paying for philosophy, Spanish, and gym when I wanted economics + computer science?

Professors: Some were great, but way too many had zero teaching skills. Reading the textbook often made more sense than sitting through a 2-hour lecture full of tangents.

I get that a degree is still necessary for most jobs, but it blows my mind how much time and money colleges waste instead of focusing on what students actually came to learn.

Do you agree, or do you think general ed + lecture style teaching actually adds value?

I get this point 💯 college can feel like such a drain with the money, time, and stress. Not everyone needs it to succeed, especially now with so many other paths like trades, certifications, or online learning. It really depends on your goals, but yeah—it’s not the only way 🚪✨
