Car Tips: Tire Safety 🛞☝🏽

How to check your tire pressure and avoid blowing out your tires! 🚙

🧭 Keep a tire pressure gauge in your car where it’s easy to locate. I keep mine in my glove compartment along with my car manual and lug locks.

🚗 On the inside of the drivers door there’s a sticker with all of your tire information! It’ll show you how much pressure goes in the front and rear tires.

💡Before putting air in your tires, make sure to check the max tire PSI located on your tires. This is so important because you do not want to blow your tires! You can go over the minimum a little, but it’s suggested to not exceed more than 10 PSI over. You can keep a portable compressor in your car or use a compressor at a nearby gas station/car wash.

**(Small additional tip - Having a full size spare instead of the spare tire that comes with your car is actually really good to have.)**

... Read moreTire safety is crucial for any driver, impacting both vehicle performance and passenger safety. Regularly checking tire pressure helps to maximize fuel efficiency and enhance control while driving. A tire pressure gauge is an indispensable tool; keeping one in your car allows for easy checks. On the driver's door, there is often a manufacturer's sticker that provides important tire information, including recommended PSI values for both front and rear tires. This information is vital for maintaining optimal tire pressure. Before adding air, always confirm the maximum PSI indicated on your tires to avoid over-inflation, as exceeding recommended limits can lead to tire blowouts. A good rule of thumb is to stay within a 10 PSI range above the minimum requirement. You can easily find compressed air at gas stations or use a portable compressor for convenience. It's also wise to keep a full-size spare tire, as it can dramatically improve safety in the event of a tire issue. Remember that knowledge about your vehicle's tire specifications is vital for safe and effective driving, so take the time to learn and regularly check your tire conditions!
