🌾 Rest in His Presence
Some of you are carrying so much internally that your soul no longer remembers what peace feels like.
You keep moving.
Keep helping everyone else.
Keep trying to stay strong.
But underneath it all…
you’re tired.
Mentally tired.
Emotionally tired.
Spiritually tired.
And somewhere along the way, you started believing rest was weakness.
But Jesus never taught exhausted striving.
He invited weary people to come close to Him.
“Come to Me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.”
— Matthew 11:28 NLT
Notice He didn’t say:
“Figure it out first.”
“Fix yourself first.”
“Stop struggling first.”
He simply said:
Come to Me.
The Shepherd sees the burdens nobody else notices.
The silent pressure.
The overthinking.
The emotional heaviness you hide from everyone around you.
And He is not asking you to carry it alone.
Some of us keep trying to survive through control when what we truly need is surrender.
Rest is not laziness.
Rest is trust.
It’s choosing to believe God is still working even when you stop striving.
So today…
slow down long enough to breathe.
Pray before panic.
Sit in His presence again.
Let His peace quiet the noise in your mind.
You do not have to carry everything by yourself.
The Shepherd already walks beside you.
