This Book Is So Important To Me❤️

The Courage to be Disliked has had such a profound impact on me. As a recovering people pleaser I found myself playing small and putting my life on hold for fear of rocking the boat or standing out too much. I was scared to try because trying brought criticism and judgement! I was afraid of being disliked!

This book is based on the teachings of the too often forgotten psychologist Alfred Adler, and is written as a dialogue between a young man and a philosopher. Reading it felt like my own mental dialogue between my ego and my wise mind- I think that’s the point. It covers all of the what if’s… what if they don’t like me? What if I fail?

This book reminds you that you are in control of your life and your life isn’t meant to be lived with others’ permission.

It is truly a life changing book for me and one I can read again and again!!
