Pepperoni Pizza Grilled Cheese
**Ingredients:**
**For the grilled cheese:**
- 2 slices of sourdough bread
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup cooked pepperoni slices
**For the pizza sauce:**
- 1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
**Instructions:**
1. Preheat a large skillet over medium heat.
2. To make the pizza sauce, heat the olive oil in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add the tomato sauce, oregano, basil, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a simmer and cook for 10 minutes, or until thickened.
3. Spread the pizza sauce on one slice of the sourdough bread. Top with the mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, and pepperoni slices. Place the remaining slice of sourdough bread on top.
4. Place the sandwich in the skillet and grill for 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and the cheese is melted.
**Tips:**
- For a crispier grilled cheese, use a panini grill or a waffle iron.
- Add your favorite toppings to the grilled cheese, such as mushrooms, onions, or green peppers.
