Homemade Flaxseed Hair Gel
I’ve been using my homemade flax seed hair gel for the past 6 months and I have definately noticed the difference in my length retention and texture.
Let me start by saying if your hair tangles and nots easily…THIS IS FOR YOU! I’ve had minimal knots when I use this before and after washing my hair.
This hair gel is simple to make, costs inter $15 total and is more efficient than the store brands that cost around $25 and make your hair fall out.
Natural products are much better!!
This gel lasts about 1-2 weeks in the fridge. You can get the cheese cloth from the grocery store or wherever they sell fabric

Homemade hair products are becoming increasingly popular as people seek natural alternatives to commercial items. Flaxseed gel is renowned for its nourishing properties, thanks to the high content of omega-3 fatty acids, which promote healthy hair growth and add shine. This gel acts as a powerful moisturizer, helping to maintain hair elasticity and reducing breakage. With its simple preparation, anyone can whip up this gel right in their kitchen using just flaxseeds and water. To create the gel, combine about 1/4 cup of flaxseeds with 1.5 cups of water in a pot. Bring the mixture to a boil for approximately 5 minutes, stirring regularly. You'll notice the liquid thickening and becoming gel-like. After boiling, strain the mixture through a cheesecloth to separate the seeds from the gel, and you’re done! The gel can be stored in the fridge for up to two weeks, providing a fresh product for your hair care routine. It's essential to experiment with the consistency based on personal preference—more water creates a lighter gel, while less water results in a thicker texture. This DIY solution not only reduces curls and frizz but also makes hair styling more manageable. Embracing natural products enhances not only your hair's health but also contributes to eco-friendly practices.
