Southern Chocolate Gravy

¾ cup sugar

½ cup flour

1/3 cup cocoa

3 cups milk

1 tsp. Vanilla

½ stick butter or margarine

Mix dry ingredients together. Add ½ cup warm water.

Stir well. Heat milk in saucepan to almost boiling. Pour boiling milk into cocoa mixture, stirring constantly until thickening. Add butter and vanilla. This is great with homemade biscuits.
