When I lost my dad in January, I felt an emptiness I hadn’t known before.. a grief that was heavy, confusing, and sometimes even frightening. Through that sorrow, I discovered that God meets us in our pain. Grief, while it hurts, can become a path to healing, compassion, and deeper love. Here are six spiritual principles that helped me navigate loss: humility, surrender, holy detachment, perseverance in the dark night, trust in God’s timing, and the transformation of our heart’s wounds into love. Even in deep sorrow, grief is not wasted. It teaches us how to love more fully, walk with others in their suffering, and draw closer to Christ. Which of these principles speaks to your heart today? I’d love to hear your reflections as we walk this journey of grace together. Know that you are not alone, and in communion with one another, we can find healing, hope, and strength.
