are you graduating this semester? 🎓🎉

Hi fellow students! Can you believe it’s already mid-April??? For some of you, that means that graduation is around the corner… congratulations! 👏

We want to know, what are you doing to prepare for graduation? Do you have any graduation plans? Have you gotten your outfit figured out? Is there anything you want to see or do on campus before the big day? Let us know in the comments below! ⬇️

It has been a while since I graduated from college, but the last few weeks leading up to it were exciting ones filled with so many events and activities… my to-do list was always pages long 🤣 some of the most important and memorable things I did before graduation were decorate my cap, walk around campus and visit all of my old buildings, and schedule meetings and chats with my favorite professors and advisors. It was all so bittersweet! ♥️

... Read moreIt feels like just yesterday I was starting my college journey, and now, for many of you, the finish line is in sight! Preparing for graduation isn't just about getting ready for one day; it's about setting yourself up for the next chapter and making sure you savor every last moment of this incredible experience. Beyond the cap and gown, there's actually quite a bit to consider, and trust me, getting a head start on your graduation prep will save you a lot of stress. First off, let's talk about the practical stuff. While it might not be as glamorous as decorating your cap, sorting out your post-graduation logistics is crucial. Have you finalized your housing plans? Whether you're moving back home, to a new city for a job, or continuing your studies, securing your living situation early can prevent last-minute panic. Don't forget to request your official transcripts – many employers and grad schools will need these, and it often takes a few weeks to process. Also, take a moment to understand your student loan situation. A quick chat with your financial aid office can clarify repayment options and help you budget for the future. I remember feeling a bit overwhelmed by all the paperwork, but tackling it bit by bit made it much more manageable. Next, let's dive into making those final memories. My original post touched on decorating your cap, which is such a fun tradition! But why stop there? Think about other ways to personalize your graduation experience. Maybe create a small scrapbook of your favorite college memories, or get your friends to sign a keepsake. One thing I highly recommend is taking advantage of your beautiful campus one last time. Grab your camera and friends, and revisit all your favorite spots. Imagine taking some incredible photos by that iconic brick clock tower or just enjoying the sunny campus scene with an ice cream cone. These simple acts of revisiting can feel incredibly nostalgic and grounding. Beyond the physical campus, think about the people who made your college experience special. Scheduling those chats with professors and advisors, as I mentioned, is invaluable. They've seen you grow, and their advice can be a guiding light. But also, make sure to connect with your friends! Organize a farewell dinner, a potluck, or even just a casual meetup. Exchange contact information, make plans to stay in touch, and reminisce about all the crazy times you've shared. It's easy to get caught up in the stress of preparing for graduation, but these connections are truly what you'll carry with you. Finally, don't forget to celebrate yourself! All your hard work has led to this moment. Plan a small celebration with family and friends, or just give yourself a well-deserved treat. This period of graduation prep can be bittersweet, a mix of excitement for the future and nostalgia for the past. Embrace it all, take a deep breath, and know that you're ready for whatever comes next. What other tips do you have for making the most of these final weeks?
