When PRIDE sneaks in!
✨A Light 💡in the Night🌙
Good evening family 🙏🏾🌙✨! I hope your day has been full of JOY😊, but tonight God is leading me to talk about something that challenges ALL of us—PRIDE👑.
No matter how STRONG💪🏾 we think our WALK🚶🏾♀️ is, PRIDE can slip in quietly. It may look like being “right”🗣️ in an argument, feeling superior🏆 in our accomplishments, or forgetting to give GOD🙌🏾 the glory. But Scripture is clear: “PRIDE comes before DESTRUCTION💥, and a haughty spirit before a FALL📉” (Proverbs 16:18).
I’ll be real with you—I had a moment this week where the LORD🌟 revealed a piece of PRIDE in me. The HOLY SPIRIT🔥 convicted me, and I had to REPENT💧. That was not easy. But it was NECESSARY. Because REPENTANCE brings RESTORATION🌈.
We can’t afford to let PRIDE ruin our WITNESS🌍. People are watching👀. They are looking for CHRIST👑 in us —not perfection, but HUMILITY🌱. When we admit our weakness and seek forgiveness, others see the POWER⚡ of God at work in real time.
So tonight, I encourage you—EXAMINE🕵🏾♀️ your heart. Ask the HOLY SPIRIT🔥 to shine light💡 on any hidden PRIDE. And when He does, don’t resist. Bow before the Father🛐, REPENT, and let Him lift you up.

Pride is often a silent disruptor in one's spiritual life that can manifest in subtle ways, such as insisting on being right in disagreements or feeling superior due to personal achievements. The image text "No! You're wrong. I AM RIGHT!!!" reflects a common expression of pride that can damage relationships and spiritual integrity. Understanding the scriptural warning that "Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall" (Proverbs 16:18) highlights the urgency of self-examination. In Christian teachings, pride is seen as a barrier that distances us from God and others, impacting our witness of humility and grace. The process of repentance—acknowledging areas where pride has taken root and turning back to God—is essential for spiritual restoration and growth. This transformation restores our ability to authentically reflect the character of Christ and strengthens our community impact. The Apostle Peter encourages this attitude in 1 Peter 5:6: "Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time." Humility is not weakness but a powerful stance that allows the Holy Spirit to reveal hidden pride and lead us toward forgiveness and renewal. For believers seeking to nurture genuine humility, engaging in prayerful self-reflection and inviting the Holy Spirit's guidance can be transformative. These practices help uncover concealed attitudes or behaviors of pride and open the door to repentance and restoration. Embracing humility empowers believers to maintain a strong spiritual walk, provides a true witness to others, and fosters a heart posture aligned with God’s will. Ultimately, vigilance against pride is vital because the spiritual community and the world are watching how believers live out their faith. Admitting faults and demonstrating humility not only honors God but offers a compelling testimony of His power and grace at work in real life. Therefore, asking God daily for guidance to reveal and remove pride protects our spiritual walk and leads us into deeper fellowship with God and others.
