... Read moreFrom my personal experience navigating the aftermath of narcissistic abuse, one of the toughest challenges is the temptation to break no contact, especially when nostalgia and guilt start creeping in. The cycle of idealization, devaluation, and discard taught me how confusing and draining these interactions can be. Those long conversations that seemed to materialize were never truly about resolving issues — instead, they often left me apologizing for problems I did not create, which only deepened my emotional fatigue. Understanding these patterns is critical. The moment you feel nostalgic about the past interactions or tempted to return, remind yourself that the underlying dynamics haven’t changed; these behaviors persist because they work to manipulate your emotions. It's okay to miss the person you hoped they could be, but breaking no contact usually means stepping back into a toxic loop that perpetuates pain and confusion. A powerful insight is recognizing how much these relationships rely on your emotional availability as their 'favorite emotional bag.' This realization helped me see that preserving my peace meant saying no to those guilt trips that the narcissistic parent uses to draw you back in. Those guilt feelings are often tactics aiming to undermine your clarity and make you question your decision to protect yourself. For anyone struggling with these feelings, it's important to have a support system of friends, therapists, or support groups who understand narcissistic abuse recovery. They provide a safe space to process emotions and reaffirm your right to establish boundaries. Remember, breaking no contact is not just a boundary issue; it’s about safeguarding your sanity and mental health. The freedom and peace gained from maintaining distance far outweigh the temporary desire to reconnect, especially when that connection is fraught with manipulation and emotional harm. Stay strong and prioritize your well-being above all else.

Should I just go no contact?
My boyfriend and I have been together for 10 months, but it’s been constant ups and downs. He pressured me to move to his city after 2 months, wanted a promise ring after 3, and every time I “hurt” him, he breaks up with me and even messages his exes. He’s already emotionally cheated once. Recen

what happens when you go no-contact
no-contact is an essential part of breakup healing. many other coaches on social media have created a conversation about how no-contact is a tool to get your ex back, but I strongly decline that. no-contact is meant to have you detach from your ex and de-centre them from your life. when you stay in

3 reasons to go no-contact
no-contact is a scary step to take, I get it. but basically in short, the more you’re in contact, the more you’re reinforcing your attachment to them. no-contact is similar to withdrawing substances, so you need to think of it like it’s going to get worse before it gets better. your brain just need

benefits going no contact after breakup
this is the most important one ⬇️ it helps you understand your needs that were not being met in the relationship!! when you take a step back and go no contact you can analyze what needs were and were not being met. Then you can figure out how you can meet these needs whether through family, f

How to finally move on from a breakup & start feeling like yourself again ❤️‍🩹
Moving on isn’t about waking up one day and feeling nothing. It’s about waking up and choosing yourself, even when the ache is still there. It’s the small decisions — deleting their number, saying no to the “what if” thoughts, filling the quiet moments with things that make you feel alive again
