Cinnamon apple chips 🍎
I’ve been obsessed with the bare apple chips but those are beginning to get expensive 😻 then I realized duh it’s literally just baked apples I can make it myself 😺
👩🍳Home Recipe : 2 apples peeled & thinly sliced
Spread them on a baking sheet & coat them w cinnamon
Bake time ⏰: 200f for 2 hrs (my thicker slices were still soft so Im going to redo them again but leave them a little longer) while baking they smell sooooo good from the cinnamon. I’m going to be making myself these everyday 😋
I’ve always loved the crispiness and natural sweetness of apple chips, but buying them at the store can get expensive and sometimes they have unwanted additives. Making cinnamon apple chips at home is so satisfying—you control every ingredient, and the aroma of cinnamon baking fills your kitchen, making the experience even better. One tip I found helpful is to use a very sharp knife or a mandoline slicer to get uniformly thin apple slices. This ensures they bake evenly and achieve that perfect crisp texture. The baking time can vary depending on how thick the slices are, so checking them after 2 hours at 200°F is key. Thicker slices may need extra baking time to become crunchy. I also experimented with different apple varieties; I used BIETSIDE apples this time, which have a nice balance of sweetness and tartness that pairs beautifully with cinnamon. It's fun to see the little star shapes where the pits used to be after baking—it adds a charming touch to each chip. For an extra twist, you can sprinkle a little coconut sugar or a pinch of nutmeg along with the cinnamon to customize the flavor to your liking. These chips make great snacks for gluten-free diets and are perfect for kids and adults alike. Plus, they store well in an airtight container for several days, so you can prepare a batch and enjoy them throughout the week. Overall, homemade cinnamon apple chips are a delicious, healthy, and budget-friendly snack idea that I now make regularly at home!
