RSV, the bad 🦠 disease that comes with the rainy season.
First of all, RSV is a virus that causes respiratory infectious diseases.
It is mainly found in the rainy season ⛈️, causing bronchitis and a lot of secretions (sputum), causing young children to have asthma, fatigue, shortness of breath.
Symptoms - Like a normal cold, with cough fever, snot, to bronchitis, pneumonia, very tired panting.
- Symptoms are usually very severe in young children younger than 5 years old, premature children, or children with congenital diseases such as lung disease or heart disease.
- Generally, in young children, there are more severe symptoms than in adults. Most children have flu-like symptoms before 2-3 days, then the onset of high fever, more cough, more cough than a normal cold, so much cough that they vomit, can't sleep, have asthma, rapid breathing, a squeaky breath and a raking sound. If it is, will breathe until the chest is dentched, chest bulging, difficult to exhale.
Treatment
RSV is a disease that does not yet have a specific cure, just symptomatic treatments such as antipyretic administration, cough-soluble sputum, nose wash to help remove snot.
In some children, sputum is thickened, sticky and numerous. It may be necessary to spray bronchial dilation through the aerosol oxygen exit. Knock out the lungs and suck out the sputum (see when the baby is sucked in a lot of pain), but it helps to breathe more easily. Panting is tired. Most of the time, the symptoms gradually improve in 1-2 weeks.
Protection
The disease does not have a vaccine and can be repeated. Therefore, it should be prevented from infecting children by frequently washing their hands, cleaning toys, as well as refraining from taking children to slums, isolating children when the illness occurs so that the infection does not spread, especially young children less than 1 year old.
