Cajun Honey Butter SalmonððŊ
Ingredients (serves 2-3)
For the Salmon:
4 salmon fillets (6-8 oz / 170-225 g each)
2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
Salt and black pepper, to taste
1 tablespoon olive oil
For the Honey Butter:
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
1-2 tablespoons honey
1 teaspoon lemon juice
Â― teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
For Garnish:
Fresh parsley or cilantro, chopped
Lemon wedges
Instructions:
1. Season the Salmon:
Pat salmon fillets dry
Rub both sides with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper
2. Cook the Salmon:
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
Sear salmon fillets skin-side down for 4-5 minutes.
Flip and cook another 3-4 minutes until salmon is cooked through and flakes easily
3. Prepare the Honey Butter:
In a small saucepan or microwave, melt butter and mix in honey, lemon juice, and smoked paprika until smooth
4. Serve:
Drizzle honey butter over cooked salmon fillets.
Garnish with fresh parsley or cilantro and serve with lemon wedges.
Pair with roasted vegetables, rice, or a fresh salad
Tips:
Adjust Cajun seasoning for preferred spiciness.
Honey butter can be prepared in advance and warmed before serving
For a more intense flavor, finish the salmon under the broiler for 1-2 minutes after cooking
