When you can feel Halloween slipping in

7/24 Edited to

... Read moreAs summer winds down, I always notice tiny shifts that hint Halloween is just around the corner. Even before August ends, there’s a special feeling—like crispness in the air or a subtle change in the light—that signals the arrival of spooky season. For me, it's also about spotting decorations popping up in stores earlier than expected and the excitement bubbling as people start sharing themed hashtags like #Halloween, #SpookySeason, #Summerween, and #FallVibes online. One fun way I get into the spirit early is by revisiting Halloween classics. Recently, I came across an old Electrohome DVD titled "Who's Your MUMMY?" which brought back memories of spooky movie nights with friends. It’s a reminder that Halloween isn’t just a day; it’s a build-up of mood, music, movies, and shared traditions that stretch through the fall. If you’re like me, enjoying a little "summerween"—a blend of summer’s warmth and Halloween’s chill—is a perfect way to savor the transition. I love mixing fall scents like pumpkin spice with summer treats to create a unique seasonal vibe in my home. Embracing these early signs and rituals allows me to celebrate Halloween more fully. Whether it’s through themed movies, cozy decorations, or joining online communities who celebrate these moments, feeling Halloween slipping in makes the season all the more magical.
