Continuing with a Project Pan journey truly tests your commitment and dedication to using up your favorite beauty and skincare products before purchasing new ones. From February through May, I've been documenting my progress, and what stands out most is how this challenge encourages mindful consumption. One of the biggest challenges is resisting the temptation to start new products when you have nearly finished existing ones. For me, products like Dr Teal’s bath soaks, L’Oréal’s sulfate-free glossing shampoos, and Redken hair treatments have been staples in my routine, slowly making their way to empty containers. Using quality products like La Roche-Posay Lipikar Balm and Dermatologique moisturizing creams regularly also reinforces hydration, essential during seasonal changes. The satisfaction of seeing a product nearly finished — what the community affectionately calls 'phinal' — is rewarding and motivates you to stay on track. Sharing this progress with the Project Pan community adds accountability and support, making the journey feel less solitary. Additionally, this practice has helped me better understand which products truly work for my skin and hair type and which ones might not be worth repurchasing. It’s a more sustainable approach, reducing waste and saving money while appreciating what I already have.
