Real running isn’t always PRs and perfect runs. 🩷
Today’s plan was 6 miles…
My body said 3.
So I listened.
A few months ago, I probably would’ve been disappointed that I didn’t finish the plan.
Today, I’m choosing to celebrate the fact that I showed up, listened to my body, and kept moving.
Also, shoutout to @GloGlo Melty Energy Gummies for fueling today’s run! 🍬💗 The Passion Fruit gummies were the perfect little pre-run boost, and they tasted really good too. Thanks for letting me give them a try!
Because every run teaches me something, even the hard ones.
Happy miles. 🩷

Running isn’t always about achieving personal records or completing every planned mile. From my own experience, there have been days when my energy just didn’t match my expectations or training plan. Instead of pushing through and risking injury or burnout, I found it crucial to listen to my body and adjust accordingly. For instance, during a recent run, although I aimed for 6 miles, my body insisted on just 3. Opting to stop was not a sign of failure but a success in self-care. This approach has taught me that showing up consistently, even if the run is shorter or slower than planned, builds long-term endurance and motivation. It also helps reduce frustration or discouragement that commonly plague runners striving for perfection. Moreover, fueling plays a vital role in how your body performs. I recently tried Passion Fruit flavored energy gummies from GloGlo Melty Energy Gummies, which provided a subtle boost and tasted great. Having the right kind of nutrition before running can make a noticeable difference in energy and satisfaction. Additionally, the shoes I wear also contribute to my running experience. For example, the Nike Vomero Plus offers reliable comfort and support, making runs enjoyable even on days when my pace is slow. It’s important to gear up in ways that encourage you to keep moving. Ultimately, every run, whether tough or easy, imparts valuable lessons. Prioritizing personal well-being over rigid goals fosters a sustainable running habit. Encouraging others to recognize that "Her Pace Matters" reminds us that running is a personal journey. Embrace your runs at your own pace, celebrate the effort, and stay motivated by acknowledging that every mile, no matter how small, counts toward your progress.
