⭐️ What you will need ⭐️
1 box Bibigo dumplings (comes w/sauce packet)
Soy sauce
Sweet chili sauce
Sriracha
chili oil crisp/ chili crunch
Green onions (chopped)
Other toppings/alternatives seen used: honey/hot honey, red chili flakes (if you want it really spicy)
This is one of those no recipe recipes. Feel free to add as much or little of each toppping as you want!
Easiest method to cook 👉🏾 microwave. Cut a slit on the side of the clear packaging. Instructions say to cook in microwave for 1 min 45 seconds but I cooked them for about 2 mins. If you cook the dumplings without the plastic it may take longer!
Place the sauce packet that came with the dumplings in a bowl of warm water to thaw the sauce (or just run under hot water in the sink).
Once the dumplings are done pour the sauce packet, soy sauce, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, chili oil crisp, and chopped green onions on top of your dumplings & enjoy!

First off, let's talk more about that amazing sauce. While the one included with the Bibigo Steamed Dumplings, especially the Chicken & Vegetable flavor, is pretty good, making your own can completely transform the experience. My go-to is a mix of good quality soy sauce (low sodium if you're watching that!), a dash of rice vinegar for tang, a spoonful of chili oil crisp (the crunchier, the better!), a tiny bit of sesame oil for aroma, and a pinch of sugar or a drizzle of honey to balance it out. Sometimes I'll add minced garlic or ginger if I'm feeling fancy! This custom sauce really elevates those bibigo dumplings and makes them feel gourmet. It's fantastic for sauce for wonton dumplings too, giving you that perfect dipping experience.
And what about cooking methods beyond the microwave? While the microwave is a lifesaver for speed (hello, 1 minute 45 seconds!), sometimes I crave a different texture.
Steaming: If you have a steamer basket, this is a fantastic way to cook them. Place a bit of parchment paper under them to prevent sticking, or lightly oil the bottom. Steam for about 5-7 minutes until they're plump and heated through. This method keeps them incredibly tender, very much like traditional steamed dumplings.
Pan-Frying: For a crispy bottom, pan-frying is the way to go. Heat a tablespoon of oil in a non-stick pan over medium heat. Place the raw dumplings on tray (fresh or thawed) in the pan, cook for 2-3 minutes until the bottom is golden brown. Then, add about 1/4 cup of water, cover immediately, and steam for another 5-7 minutes until the water evaporates and they're cooked through. This gives you a delightful crispy-chewy texture!
For those wondering about healthy frozen dumplings or bibigo dumplings calories, Bibigo dumplings can be a great part of a balanced meal. The chicken and vegetable varieties tend to be lighter. To boost the health factor, I love adding extra steamed veggies on the side, like bok choy or spinach, or even tossing them into a light broth for a quick beef dumpling soup (if you're using beef flavored ones!). It's a surprisingly satisfying and relatively quick meal option, especially when you're looking for how to cook dumplings without stew but still want something hearty.
Have you tried Bibigo mini wontons? The same sauce recipes and cooking methods work wonderfully for them, just adjust cooking times slightly since they're smaller. They're perfect for adding to a quick broth or having as a snack.
These asian dumplings are truly a staple in my freezer now. Whether it's the bibigo mandu or the soup dumplings, they're so versatile and delicious. Don't forget that many Bibigo boxes come with sauce included, but experimenting with your own bibigo dumpling sauce recipe is half the fun! I hope these extra tips help you enjoy your tiktok dumplings even more!
