Dutch delights meet matcha magic! Our matcha stroopwafel boasts the same chewy, caramel-filled goodness as the traditional Dutch treat, elevated with the vibrant flavors of matcha. You'll crave bite after bite of this irresistible fusion.

Ingredients

Matcha Waffle

— 2 cups all-purpose flour

— 2 tbsp Matcha.com matcha

— 1/2 tsp kosher salt

— 1 stick unsalted butter, soft

— 1/2 cup granulated sugar

— 1 medium egg, room temp

— 1 packet active/instant dry yeast

— 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

— 1 tbsp milk, room temp

Caramel Filling

— 1 cup brown sugar

— 1 tbsp maple syrup

— 2 tbsp water

— 1/3 cup heavy cream

— 1 tsp vanilla extract

— 1 tsp cinnamon

— 1 tbsp unsalted butter

— 1/2 tsp kosher salt

Directions

— Whisk together flour, matcha and salt. Set aside.

— Cream together butter, sugar, and cinnamon. Add milk and yeast, then mix until well combined. Add the egg, mix and scrape down the sides of the bowl. Add the flour, matcha, and salt mixture then mix until a dough forms.

— Knead the dough and divide it into 12 equal balls (~40g each). Cover and let it rest for an hour.

— Heat up a waffle cone maker/pan then place the dough. Press the pan and cook for 1 minute and 30 seconds.

— Take it out of the pan, cut with a circle cookie cutter and evenly split into two. Place on rack to cool.

— Add brown sugar, corn syrup, and water to a saucepan and cook until the sugar is dissolved (~10 minutes on medium high). Reduce heat to low then add the cream, butter, vanilla, salt, and cinnamon. Stir until smooth.

— Add a tablespoon of the caramel filling and sandwich it between the waffle. Press to evenly distribute the caramel.
