Endocrine disruptors in your fragrances

You know what… hell ya! If this is all it takes to get y’all to throw out your fragrances, then ill roll with it. Just make sure you DM me so I can pay for shipping to do “personal research” 🤓

But in all seriousness, the push towards anti-science is scary. Everything has the ability to be toxic, but understanding the dose makes the poison is most important.

... Read moreAs someone who has always been cautious about the products I use daily, I found the topic of endocrine disruptors in fragrances especially eye-opening. Many people react by discarding all their scented products out of fear. However, through personal experience and research, I've learned that not all chemicals in fragrances are harmful at the levels we are exposed to. The phrase 'the dose makes the poison' is pivotal here—something harmless or even beneficial at a low dose can become dangerous at higher exposures. I started paying close attention to product labels and sought fragrances labeled as 'nontoxic' or 'chemical-free,' but I also understood that these terms are not always regulated. So, I complemented this with learning from dermatologists and scientific sources, which helped me understand which ingredients might be of concern and which are safe. This approach made me feel more confident rather than fearful, allowing me to continue enjoying fragrances without unnecessary anxiety. It also encouraged me to support brands that prioritize transparent ingredient disclosure and safer formulations. Ultimately, educating yourself and relying on credible science is the best way to balance health concerns while still enjoying your personal care routine.
