Enjoyed a full day of eating local in Ottawa! All my top favourite things to eat in the city from your Ottawa Gal 💅💁🏻♀️. #ottawa #foodies
Spending a day enjoying local flavors in Ottawa is truly a delight for any foodie. Starting my morning with the Lobster Claw Pastry Cannoli from Carmelito Café was an exceptional experience—the unique combination of buttery pastry with creamy cannoli filling gave my breakfast a luxurious start. Carmelito Café is well-known for blending traditional Italian pastries with innovative twists, making it a must-visit spot for early risers. For lunch, I tried the Spicy Chili Basil Shrimp stir fry at Sabai Thai Cuisine, which brought a perfect balance of heat and freshness. The bold flavors of Thai cuisine really shine in this dish, with tender shrimp wok-cooked alongside aromatic herbs and spices. Sabai's commitment to authentic taste made it a satisfying midday meal, ideal for anyone craving vibrant and spicy food in Ottawa. Dinner was a cozy affair at Heartbreakers, where I enjoyed the Sweetheart Pizza. This pizza features a delightful combination of ingredients that create a savory yet comforting end to the day. Heartbreakers is renowned in Ottawa for its creative toppings and perfectly baked crust, appealing to pizza lovers looking for something beyond the ordinary. Exploring these local gems not only fills your stomach but also gives you a taste of Ottawa's diverse culinary scene. Whether you’re a visitor or a local, dedicating a day to sample the city’s highlights—from rich pastries to spicy Thai dishes and inventive pizzas—enhances your food journey and connects you with the community’s authentic flavors.
