I’m starting a new series to showcase Mama Mel’s generational recipes. She isn’t getting any younger, and I want to learn and preserve our family’s cooking secrets while I still can.

After Mama Mel’s injury, she’s been home recovering and honestly, bored. This series is my way of helping stimulate her mind and body, and reignite her love for cooking and sharing food. She was so excited that she filmed two recipes with me in one day. You could instantly see her mood change, this truly brightened her day.

🥟 Chicken Dumplings

Ingredients

- 1 pack dumpling wrappers

- 1 lb ground chicken

- 1 lb napa cabbage, finely chopped

- 1 shallot, finely chopped

- Green onions, chopped

- Cilantro, chopped

- 1 tbsp oyster sauce

- 2 tbsp soy sauce

- 1 tbsp oil

- ½ tbsp chicken powder

- 1 tbsp sugar

- 1 tbsp black pepper

- 2 tbsp soy sauce

- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
