The stress of trying to heal or feel better .. am I right? 😅

I remember always trying to solve the problem.. find the answer.. the right diet, supplement, testing, etc.

So many times I thought I was right (it was mold! It was breast implants! It was candida! It was iron! It was *insert next discovery here*) .. but then I would still feel like crap.

I actually think the best thing I ever did was let go of the analyzing, fixing mentality. Because then I finally started to see the real problem, and begin to make true recovery.

Here’s what I did.

... Read moreFrom my personal experience, the journey to recovering from chronic illness often involves the hardest step of all: choosing to stop fighting symptoms and instead learning to listen to them. It’s tempting to jump into researching every new diet, supplement, or test, hoping for a quick fix. But what I found is that this continuous cycle of analysis and fixing often increases stress and worsens symptoms due to hypervigilance of the nervous system. Learning to simply sit with symptoms without judgment or the urge to immediately solve them was a game changer. This practice involves acknowledging symptoms as messages from the body rather than enemies to defeat. Over time, this helped reduce my anxiety and panic attacks by signaling safety to my nervous system and calming the chronic state of alertness my body was stuck in. An important part of this healing was brain retraining, focusing on rewiring the subconscious associations that caused persistent pain and inflammation. Through consistent meditation and mindful observation of emotions, I learned to feel safe with my feelings instead of fearing them. This created a foundation of emotional safety that allowed my body’s natural healing processes to activate. This path is definitely not simple or instant—it's a process of small, regular practices that support nervous system regulation. But the results can be profound, impacting symptoms related to mast cell hypersensitivity, histamine issues, hormonal imbalances, and more. It’s about embracing patience and resilience and trusting that healing is a journey inward rather than a problem to fix externally. If you’re overwhelmed by chronic symptoms, I encourage you to try this approach: stop overanalyzing and start listening to what your body is telling you. This perspective doesn’t dismiss medical intervention but complements it by fostering a deeper, more compassionate relationship with yourself. It’s a challenging path but often the most effective route to lasting recovery and peace.

A title slide for an article on "the psychology behind BRAINDUMPING" and "how to create mental space when you're overwhelmed." It features a pink daily planner and a sticky note with a to-do list, including items like 'collect data' and 'check website'.
This image explains "The Zeigarnik Effect," stating that the brain remembers unfinished tasks almost twice as well as finished ones. It clarifies that unfinished tasks include chores, worries, ideas, conversations, or anything 'open' in your mind.
This slide defines the "Brain Dump" technique as getting everything out of your head and onto paper or a digital document. It explains that writing things down offloads them from working memory, freeing up mental energy and quieting the brain.
