How I cleared my acne!

As someone who has struggled with acne for 7 years, I have been through multiple different routines and treatments. As of now, I have found a routine of products that have made a major difference in my skin! One thing I have learned is to be consistent and do this every morning and night or you will not see results. As well as using these products, I am also taking birth control which I am unsure if it has helped because I did just start. To those struggling with acne, I hope this is helpful!!

Read moreIt's been a long and often frustrating journey, seeing my face covered in pimples, dealing with those persistent bumps and small whiteheads on my forehead, and even struggling with acne in other areas like my back or arms. I know many of you, especially fellow 'acne girls' or teenagers with pimples, feel this deeply. When my skin was at its worst, with visible blemishes and constant redness, it felt like nothing would ever work. That 'From this...' to 'To this!' transformation you see in my photos wasn't just about finding the right products; it was about understanding my skin and committing to a holistic approach. One crucial lesson I've learned is that consistency truly is the game-changer. It’s easy to get disheartened when you don't see immediate results, especially with stubborn acne or those severe body acne breakouts. But sticking to your morning and night routines, even when you're tired, is paramount. Think of it as a marathon, not a sprint. For instance, those deep, painful pimples on my face, or even those annoying spots on my nose, didn't disappear overnight. They needed consistent care and patience. Trying to pop every cystic pimple, as tempting as it is, often leads to more redness and scarring, which I learned the hard way. Beyond just applying products, learning what each ingredient does really helped me. For example, Niacinamide, which I use every morning, is fantastic for calming redness and improving skin texture, making those small red spots on skin less noticeable. Azelaic Acid, my night-time hero, works wonders on bumps and inflammation. And the combination of Tretinoin and Retinol on weekends? That's what really helped speed up cell turnover, pushing those stubborn clogged pores to clear out, preventing new whiteheads and pimples from forming. When I was dealing with those pervasive pimples on my forehead, this ingredient knowledge became my secret weapon. If you're asking 'why do I get spots on back of my head?' or 'what's the meaning of acne?', remember that it’s often a combination of factors – hormones, genetics, and how we care for our skin. For body acne, I've found showering immediately after sweating and using a gentle cleanser (like the CeraVe foaming cleanser in my routine) really helps. And don't forget your pillowcases – changing them frequently can make a surprising difference for face and forehead acne. While my routine is product-focused, I also try to manage stress and stay hydrated, as these factors can indirectly impact skin health. When I look at 'adult acne images' now, I see so much of my past self, and it just reinforces how much understanding the 'before and after' journey can make a difference. Achieving that clear, smooth texture takes diligence, but it's absolutely possible. Don't lose hope if your skin isn't perfect yet – every small step towards consistency and understanding is a step towards healthier skin.
