1/2 cup dark frozen cherries, or preferred fruit
1 cup unsweetened almond milk
Drizzle of honey (optional)

NOTES
To increase the protein content, add 1 scoop of protein powder OR sub the almond milk with Fairlife skim milk.
Use chia seeds to increase the fiber content instead of flax.
Sub with any kind of berry you want. Strawberry cheesecake would also be delicious!
Add more honey if you prefer a sweeter smoothie. Otherwise, this is a good blend of tangy and sweet.

If you're looking for a smoothie that's both indulgent and nutritious, this cherry cheesecake smoothie with cottage cheese is a fantastic choice. Cottage cheese not only adds creaminess but also provides a high-protein boost without the need for protein powders, making it a wholesome ingredient for fitness enthusiasts and anyone wanting to stay fuller longer. Using dark frozen cherries contributes antioxidants and natural sweetness, which pairs beautifully with the tangy cheesecake pudding mix. For an extra nutritional punch, adding chia seeds increases fiber and omega-3 fatty acids, supporting digestive health and sustained energy release. To customize this smoothie, you can swap out the dark cherries for other berries like strawberries to create strawberry cheesecake variations. If you prefer a sweeter taste, a drizzle of honey or agave syrup balances the tanginess perfectly. Additionally, substituting the almond milk with Fairlife skim milk can further boost the protein content, ideal for muscle recovery or dieting needs. Blending order matters — starting with the liquids ensures a smooth texture, followed by cottage cheese and dry ingredients, and finally the frozen fruit for thorough mixing. This smoothie offers an excellent way to enjoy dessert-like flavors in a healthy format, combining ease of preparation with satisfying nutrition. Whether you’re looking for a quick breakfast, a post-workout snack, or a guilt-free treat, this cherry cheesecake smoothie is a delicious, ingenious option to add to your recipe repertoire.
