22, pregnant, craving everything…but on a budget
Cravings on a budget!
Even though we still went through the drive though once today…lol
Pregnancy cravings can be intense and unpredictable, and managing them on a limited budget requires creativity and planning. As a stay-at-home mom, I found that balancing cravings with financial constraints meant focusing on affordable staples with room for occasional treats. For example, keeping a variety of fruits and vegetables in the fridge helped satisfy sweet and savory urges alike. Preparing homemade snacks and meals using budget-friendly ingredients like rice, beans, and pasta allowed me to stretch my grocery budget while enjoying diverse flavors. Sometimes, a quick visit to the drive-thru helped ease cravings when time or energy was limited, but I tried to keep these instances rare to control spending. Planning weekly menus around sales and coupons also made a significant difference. Social media communities around #momfood and #realisticbudgeting were great for inspiration and support. Ultimately, listening to your body's needs while keeping an eye on expenses is key. Simple swaps, batch cooking, and mindful indulgences make pregnancy cravings manageable without financial stress.
