From 230 Lbs to 185 Lbs

Wanted to show you guys my updates on my GLP-1 journey!!!! I feel much better and it’s definitely helped a lot with my PCOS symptoms. I still have a little ways to go but it’s nice to see the medicine actually within because tbh I wasn’t sure it wild work on me.

It’s definitely still hard work and it’s been a major adjustment but I’m grateful that I did it!

... Read moreI remember looking at myself when I was AT MY HEAVIEST WEIGHT 230 LBS. It wasn't just the number on the scale; it was how I felt – sluggish, constantly battling cravings, and struggling with the unpredictable nature of my PCOS. I was searching for solutions, and that's when I learned about GLP-1. Deciding to start my GLP-1 journey wasn't easy. I had so many questions and some skepticism, wondering if it would truly 'work on me' after trying so many other things. But honestly, it's been a game-changer. The initial weeks were an adjustment, as my body adapted to the medication. I experienced some mild side effects at first, but nothing unbearable, and they subsided quickly. What I noticed first was a significant shift in my appetite. The constant hunger pangs that used to derail my efforts became much more manageable. This wasn't about deprivation; it was about feeling satisfied with smaller, more nourishing portions, which was a huge relief. Beyond the scale moving from 230 lbs down to my current weight of 185 lbs, the biggest surprise has been how much it's helped with my PCOS symptoms. Before, I struggled intensely with irregular cycles, debilitating fatigue, and persistent acne. Since starting GLP-1, I've seen a dramatic improvement. My cycles are becoming more predictable, my energy levels are soaring, and my skin has cleared up significantly. It's truly amazing to feel my body finally responding and healing in ways I hadn't experienced before. Don't get me wrong, while GLP-1 has been an incredible tool, this journey from 230 lbs to 185 lbs hasn't been a magic bullet. It's involved a lot of 'hard work' and 'major adjustment' in my daily habits. That meant rethinking my relationship with food, focusing on nutrient-dense meals, and finding ways to incorporate movement I actually enjoy, even if it's just a brisk walk around the neighborhood or some light strength training. It’s about consistency, not perfection. The mental shift has been equally crucial. Learning to listen to my body's true hunger cues, understanding the difference between physical hunger and emotional eating, and developing coping mechanisms for stress that don't involve food – these were big hurdles. There were days I felt discouraged, especially when progress seemed slow, but seeing the visual transformation and feeling so much better, especially getting to this 185 lbs mark, kept me motivated. It’s a marathon, not a sprint. For anyone else starting or considering a similar path, especially if you're a woman navigating weight loss around that 230 lbs mark and dealing with PCOS, my biggest advice is to be patient with yourself and celebrate every small victory. Find a supportive community, educate yourself thoroughly about your options, and remember why you started. It's not just about the number – it's about feeling better, having more energy, and truly living. I'm still learning and growing, with a little ways to go, but looking back from 230 lbs to where I am now at 185 lbs, I'm incredibly proud of how far I've come and excited for what's next!

How long were you on GLP-1 before you saw results? Which one did you use? You look amazing by the way.
