... Read moreWhen I hit the gym, I always find that my mindset plays a huge role in how effectively I tackle my workouts. For me, adopting what I call an "angry not cute face" is more than just a funny expression—it's a mental trick that signals to my brain and body that it's time to push hard. Especially during challenging exercises like the leg press, this focused intensity helps me channel my energy and block out distractions. I've noticed that keeping this determined expression also influences how seriously others take my workouts, which can be oddly motivating. Sometimes, it means fewer interruptions and more space to fully concentrate on lifting. Wearing comfortable and empowering workout gear, like my favorite AYBL outfit, further boosts my confidence and determination. If you find yourself feeling self-conscious or distracted in the gym, try adopting a similar focused look—not to be intimidating but to remind yourself that you're there to work hard and make progress. Combine this with upbeat motivational hashtags, like #gymmotivation and #workoutinspo, to keep your social feed energizing. Also, don’t underestimate the power of humor in fitness. Laughing at yourself or the quirks of gym life can make workouts more enjoyable and relatable. I often share my gym humor moments online because it helps me stay connected with others who share similar fitness journeys. Ultimately, it’s about finding what mentally prepares you for a tough workout, whether it’s a particular facial expression, outfit, or mindset. For me, the “angry face” during leg presses is my way of showing up ready to give it my all, and it might just work for you too!

How I improved my grip strength to lift heavier!
You know in order to make more progress in the gym you have to continuously practice progressive overload (which is more weight or reps over time). My muscles used to be able to lift more but my grip would give out before I could challenge my muscles. So if this happens to you here are 2 things
