Visiting Washington D.C.? Here’s where to go!

Hey there! So, I just got back from Washington D.C. for a moot court competition and it was an absolute blast! 🏛️🌸

We stayed at the Viceroy, a super chic hotel that's not only trendy but also houses an art gallery and some seriously sleek workspaces. Viceroy Washington DC

Let’s talk about food and drinks because we couldn't pass up on that. We hit up The Hamilton, a classic joint that mixes modern art with traditional vibes. The menu? It had everything! From classic favorites with a spin (like truffle fries) to some more adventurous options (sushi specials!!) there was something for everyone. The Hamilton Live

We also had some time to explore the city, and D.C. did not disappoint! We saw all the classics - the White House, the Washington Monument, and the Capitol. The White House

Personally, I couldn't resist a trip to the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History. Dinosaurs, deep oceans, animals, gems, and human origins - it was like stepping into a real-life documentary. I could've spent hours in there! (And it was free admission!!) Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History

And let's not forget the cherry blossoms! We made sure to swing by the United States Botanical Gardens for some up-close-and-personal time with a ton of tropical and exotic blooms, but the cherry blossoms scattered about D.C. were iconic! Talk about the perfect way to wrap up an already amazing trip! United States Botanic Garden

Already counting down the days until we can go back! 🌸✨

... Read moreWhen visiting Washington D.C., timing your trip during the cherry blossom season can enhance your experience significantly. The United States National Cherry Blossom Festival usually occurs in late March to early April, showcasing stunning pink petals that create a picturesque scene around the Tidal Basin. You can also enjoy cultural events, parades, and festivities during this period. The festival commemorates the 1912 gift of cherry blossom trees from Japan, symbolizing friendship and cultural exchange. In addition to the iconic cherry blossoms, consider visiting other notable sites such as the Lincoln Memorial and the vibrant neighborhoods of Georgetown and Adams Morgan, known for their rich history and diverse restaurants. D.C. also offers excellent public transportation options, making it convenient to navigate between attractions. Don't miss the chance to experience the dynamic arts scene in the city, with venues like The Kennedy Center often hosting free performances. Lastly, connect with local tour guides for insider tips and deeper insights into D.C.'s history and culture. Whether you're a history buff, a foodie, or an art enthusiast, Washington D.C. has something to offer for everyone to take lovely memories home.
