Ribeye Steak with Chillin' & Grillin' and Sautéed
Ingredients:
1 boneless ribeye steak (about 1 inch thick)
2 tablespoons of Chillin' & Grillin' - Grill Seasoning
2 tablespoons of unsalted butter
Fresh rosemary sprigs
Salt and black pepper to taste
Olive oil for searing
1 bunch of fresh asparagus spears, woody ends trimmed.
Instructions:
Take the ribeye steak out of the refrigerator and allow it to come to room temperature for about 30 minutes. This ensures even cooking.
While the steak is resting, preheat your cast iron pan over medium-high heat. You want it to be hot to achieve a good sear.
Season both sides of the ribeye steak with Chillin' & Grillin' - Grill Seasoning and a pinch of salt and black pepper if desired.
Add a drizzle of olive oil to the hot cast iron pan. Carefully place the seasoned steak in the pan.
Sear the steak for about 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare (internal temperature 130°F or 54°C) or 2-3 minutes on each side for rare (internal temperature 120°F or 49°C), adjusting the time to your desired level of doneness. Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature.
In the last minute of cooking, add the butter and a few fresh rosemary sprigs to the pan. Tilt the pan slightly and use a spoon to baste the steak with the melted butter and herbs.
While the steak is resting on a cutting board, prepare the asparagus. In the same pan, add the trimmed asparagus spears and sauté them for about 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally until they become tender and slightly charred.
Slice the ribeye steak against the grain, garnish with the remaining fresh rosemary, and drizzle the pan juices and butter over the top.
Serve your pan-seared ribeye steak and sautéed asparagus with your favorite side dishes and enjoy your complete meal!

If you're looking to elevate your next steak dinner, the combination of Chillin' & Grillin' Grill Seasoning with a cast iron sear brings out fantastic flavors and a beautiful crust on your ribeye. The key is to let your steak reach room temperature before cooking, ensuring an even cook throughout. Don't forget to use a meat thermometer when aiming for medium-rare or rare doneness – precision matters! Basting the steak with butter and fresh rosemary toward the end of cooking adds a rich, aromatic finish that pairs perfectly with the meat's natural juices. This technique adds depth without overpowering the seasoning. Sautéing the asparagus in the same pan lets it soak up the tasty steak drippings, enhancing its natural flavor. The slight char and tender texture of the asparagus make it the perfect healthy complement. For those who want to explore more, consider experimenting with different herbs like thyme or garlic for basting, or adding a squeeze of lemon to asparagus for brightness. Pairing your meal with a simple garlic mashed potato or a fresh garden salad can round out the dinner beautifully. Additionally, when cooking steaks at home, investing in a good quality cast iron pan can significantly improve your results. Cast iron retains heat well and provides the perfect surface for a crispy sear. Remember to let your steak rest after cooking; this allows the juices to redistribute, keeping your steak juicy and tender. With this recipe, you can enjoy a restaurant-quality meal right at home, perfect for a cozy dinner or impressing guests. The use of Chillin' & Grillin' seasoning is a great way to add a flavorful twist, ensuring every bite is deliciously memorable.
