LEMON BARSSSS

Super easy any teenager can do it! It’s sweet and bright and just delicious with a buttery shortbread bottom. Couldn’t stop eating them! 🍋🍋

INGREDIENTS

½ cup unsalted butter, softened

¼ cup powdered sugar

1 cup all-purpose flour

Pinch salt

filling:

3 large eggs

1 cup white sugar

½ cup fresh lemon juice (as much as u want)

lemon zest

¼ cup all-purpose flour (SIFT!)

Powdered sugar for dusting

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Take softened butter and cream it with the sugar until light and fluffy.

2. Then mix in flour and a pinch of salt. Make sure to sift.

3. Press down flat into an 8 x 8” baking pan.

4. Bake for 15 minutes at 350°

5. Whisk eggs, sugar. Lemon zest and juice and flour in a bowl until smooth and make sure to save you don’t want any lumps!

6. Once your shortbread is done, let it cool down for a few minutes until warm then pour over your lemon mixture.

7. Bake for 20 minutes or until edges are golden brown.

8. Make sure to let it cool completely before you cut into it or else it’s gonna be messy and then it won’t set in the shape.

9. Once called cut into squares and dust with powdered sugar then you’re done 😁😁
