Ingredients: ✨

* 2 large ripe bananas

* 8 ounces peanut butter melted (plus more if needed)

* 10 ounces semi sweet chocoalte chips

* 1 teaspoon coconut oil

Instructions: 🗒️

1. Place parchment paper on top of cutting board or baking tray.

2. Cut bananas into slices and line in a single layer forming a rectangle. Make sure to put the banana slices as close as possible.

3. Place peanut butter in a medium sized microwave safe bowl. Microwave in 30 second increments until just melted.

4. Pour a layer of peanut butter on top of bananas. Use a butter knife or rubber spatula to spread evenly.

5. Place in the freezer for a minute or two while melting chocolate.

In another medium-sized microwave-safe bowl add chocolate chips and a spoonful of coconut oil. Heat in microwave for 30 seconds and then 20-second increments until just melted. Stir chocolate until it has a uniform liquid texture.

6. Remove the banana and peanut butter from the freezer. Pour a layer of melted chocolate on top of peanut butter. Spread evenly using a butter knife or rubber spatula.

7. Transfer to the fridge for at least an hour or until frozen

... Read moreI'm so excited to share why these Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Bars have become my absolute favorite go-to for a healthy treat! When I first started looking for easy, satisfying snacks, I stumbled upon the magic combo of banana and peanut butter. But just a banana with peanut butter felt a little... plain sometimes. That's where these bars come in – they elevate that simple concept into something truly special, making them perfect as a healthy dessert or a quick, energy-boosting snack plate. What makes these bars so brilliant, especially if you're like me and always on the hunt for healthy dessert options? Firstly, the no-bake aspect is a game-changer. No oven, minimal cleanup – it's ideal for those busy days or when you just want a quick sweet fix without heating up the kitchen. I often whip up a batch on a Sunday, and they last me through the week for those afternoon cravings. They're genuinely one of the best healthy desserts I've found that doesn't compromise on flavor. Let's talk about the 'healthy' part, which was a big draw for me based on all the 'banana peanut butter healthy snack' searches I've done! Bananas are packed with potassium and natural sweetness, offering sustained energy. Peanut butter brings in healthy fats and protein, keeping you full and satisfied. And the chocolate? If you use semi-sweet or even dark chocolate chips, you get those wonderful antioxidants, making these a truly guilt-free indulgence. It's truly a 'banana peanut butter chocolate healthy snack' dream come true! I've experimented with a few tweaks to make these even more personalized. Sometimes, I sprinkle a pinch of sea salt on the chocolate layer before it sets – it really enhances the chocolate and peanut butter flavors! For an extra boost, you could even mix in a tablespoon of chia seeds or chopped nuts into the peanut butter layer for added texture and nutrients, turning them into a 'healthy oat snacks' contender if you want to add some rolled oats to the base layer. You can also vary the chocolate; I love using dark chocolate for a richer taste, but milk chocolate works if you prefer it sweeter. These variations keep 'banana and peanut butter recipes' exciting and ensure I never get bored. Storing them is a breeze too. I keep mine in an airtight container in the freezer, and they firm up perfectly. Just pull one out about 5 minutes before you want to eat it for the best texture. They're a fantastic alternative to an ice cream bar, especially for a 'banana peanut butter mash' fan looking for something more substantial. Trust me, once you try these Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Bars, you'll be hooked on this easy, delicious, and healthy treat!
