I've been a fan of Wo Wo Dian for a while, and their 2nd anniversary celebration definitely made me want to revisit. The new dishes they rolled out are excellent examples of creative twists on traditional Chinese flavors. The Orange Peel Fish Fillet caught my attention first, with its crispy texture and perfectly balanced sweet and tangy orange flavors that left a refreshing aftertaste. Another standout was the Salted Egg Yolk Shrimp & Tofu, which features a rich and creamy sauce that coats tender shrimp and silky tofu, making every bite indulgent yet comforting. I also tried their Shrimp & Bamboo Shoot Bun, which is packed generously with fresh shrimp and crisp bamboo shoots, adding a delightful textural contrast. An interesting item was the Sauerkraut Sliced Fish, which offers tender fish slices swimming in a tangy and flavorful broth, perfect for those who enjoy complex yet comforting dishes. Beyond the food, the limited-edition Fu Wo Wo plushie available in voucher bundles adds a fun and collectible element to the dining experience, reminding me that restaurants can build community through small thoughtful gestures. Visiting Wo Wo Dian at Raffles City (B1-13/14/15) is convenient as they're open every day from 11:30 am to 9 pm. For those who appreciate authentic Chinese food with innovative comfort flavors, Wo Wo Dian’s anniversary menu is a great reason to come back or try it for the first time.
