... Read moreImagine going out on a nice date with your girlfriend, everything is going well, and then suddenly, her ex unexpectedly shows up and starts acting strangely. What starts off as mildly annoying—him talking to her cat outside her apartment—soon escalates into a series of bewildering events. During a dinner at a fancy restaurant, the ex dives into a lobster tank, eats a live lobster, and then collapses, requiring medical attention. This bizarre behavior is not explained by simple intoxication or stress but by something far stranger: the discovery of a sentient parasite affecting his vital organs. The medical tests reveal that his heart and internal organs are atrophying due to this parasite, which your girlfriend manages to separate from him. However, the story doesn’t end there. The ex flees, and the parasite somehow transfers to your girlfriend, leading to an even more complicated and unsettling chain of events. Eventually, this turns into a surreal four-way entanglement involving your girlfriend, her ex, yourself, and the parasite itself, which ironically finds the term “parasite” offensive. This story isn’t just about the shock value of a lover’s quarrel gone wildly out of control; it also illustrates how sometimes reality can be stranger than fiction. It highlights the emotional turmoil and unexpected challenges that can occur when past relationships intersect with new ones in unpredictable ways. The addition of a "sentient parasite" adds a layer of science-fiction intrigue, which, while fantastical, can be viewed as a metaphor for the invisible burdens and complications carried into new relationships. Such extraordinary tales remind us of the importance of communication, trust, and understanding in relationships, especially when complicated by past partners who may still have a lingering influence. They also underscore the vulnerability we experience when life throws unexpected curveballs that disrupt our sense of normalcy. In essence, this story serves both as a cautionary and captivating anecdote, showing how even ordinary moments can spiral into surreal experiences. It challenges us to stay adaptable and compassionate in the face of chaos, even when that chaos involves exes, lobster tanks, medical emergencies, and mysterious parasites.

i’ve been looking a lot into banned and challenged books and what that exactly means. when a book is banned, that means that it has been removed from a collection (something like a library or state) due to a challenge to its content, morals, or themes. have any of you read any of these? what did

Book Review: What did I just read? 😶‍🌫️
My review doesn’t have much to do with the author. This was not my style at all. The story was hard to follow. There were stories within stories connected to other stories in the story. See how that’s confusing? My expectations of the book were much different than what the book was actually about.
