Cheese-Stuffed Breadsticks

Ingredients:

2 cups of all purpose flour

1 cup of warm water

1 packet of instant yeast (7g)

1 spoonful of sugar

1 teaspoon of salt

1 tablespoon of the olive oil

1 cup grated mozzarella cheese

1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 tablespoon of Italian seasoning

2 tablespoons of melted butter

Instructions:

In a large bowl, combine warm water, sugar and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes or until the mixture becomes foamy.

Add flour, salt and olive oil to the yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms, then knead for 5-7 minutes until dough is soft and elastic.

Place the batter in a slightly greased bowl, cover with a cloth, and let it rest in a warm place for approximately 1 hour, or until it doubles in size.

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

Extend the dough to form a rectangle on a flourished surface, approximately 1/2 inch thick. Sprinkle evenly grated mozzarella cheese over half the batter.

Fold the other half of the batter over the cheese and then cut into strips about 1 inch wide.

Slightly rotate each strip and then place it in a baking tray lined with parchment paper.

Mix the melted butter with garlic powder and grease each breadstick. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and Italian dressing.

Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and cheese is melted.

Serve hot with marinara sauce for dipping.
